Team Rwanda - 13th - 28th June 2025
Hello and welcome!
Team Rwanda 2025 is Hilary and Robin Swan and Andy Paine. We will be visiting the Anglican dioceses of Byumba and Gasabo.
This is the first draft of the itinerary, so there may well be some changes which we will do our best to update as and when we can. Please pray for safe travel for the whole trip and for each meeting that we have. Pray that we will be able to give to and receive from our brothers and sisters in Rwanda and that we will all be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit regarding our working together for God's Kingdom.

Diocese of Byumba:
Sat 14th Arrive in Kigali, travel up to Byumba, settle in then meet with Revd Robert and Revd Placide to finalise the arrangements for the week.
Sun 15th Visits to two SAP-linked parishes tying in with two church services, RS & HS to share a greeting; AP to preach at both services.
Mon 16th - Fri 20th to include:
SAP / WHP Visits:
- visits to SAP-linked parishes with WHPs on 3/4 of these days.
- time to meet with and encourage church leaders, members of the congregations
- time to find out local situations regarding church buildings and any plan of action
- time to see local WHPs and discuss how they are running and benefiting communities
Other visits (time permitting):
- visit to King Solomon School - to see the developments and progress being made
- to visit local diocesan projects in Byumba (Hannah Ministry; Mothers’ Union; Byumba cards & crafts etc)
Key Meetings (probably towards the end of our week):
- meeting with Bp Emmanuel and senior staff/clergy to review our partnership and plan for the future
- meeting with our SAP and WHP coordinators
Sat 21 Pack up and travel to Gasabo diocese in Kigali
Diocese of Gasabo:
Sat 21 Arrive at Bethany Guest House - settle in and meet with Rev Samuel to finalise arrangements for the week.
Sun 22 9:00am - church service at Rubungo Parish; RS & HS to share a greeting; AP to preach
2:00pm - church service at Kinyinya Parish; RS & HS to share a greeting; AP to preach
For each parish visit we will meet with church leaders and local parish representatives to hear about the work in the parish and what challenges they face, especially with the ongoing closure of some church buildings.
Mon 23 10:00am - visit Kayanga Sub-Parish 2:00pm - visit Nkuzuzu Parish
Tues 24 10:00am - visit Byabikenke Parish 2:00pm - visit Karama Sub-Parish,
Wed 25 10:00am - visit Nduba Sub-Parish 2:00pm - visit PHARP (Peace-building Healing And Reconciliation Programme)
Thu 26th Meeting with Archbishop & Diocesan senior staff - discuss our partnership and future developments.
Fri 27th Free Day - relaxing, sightseeing.
Sat 28 Pack up and evening flight to UK
